One of the most successful ways to keep your calendar flowing with bookings is having one, two or more “Hostess of the Month” Clubs.
This week, in my Journey to Leadership coaching program, a client shared her success for the week which was the high sales in her “hostess of the month club.” The hostess this month had record sales from friends and her hostess rewards helped her get everything she wanted for FREE! My client was so excited that her HOMC party order was over $1000 because the hostess of the month had taken the time to gather more orders.
What is a “Hostess of the Month” (HOTM) Club? It’s a party where you
- Gather SIX people to commit to making a purchase every month for 6 months.
- You set the amount they need to commit.
- These six orders must add up to a qualified party.
- Each month, one of the SIX, is designated as the “Hostess.”
- As the hostess, she receives your company Hostess rewards,.
There are so many benefits to holding these HOTM (Hostess Of The Month) Club parties. Here are my top 5 recommendations
#1 What’s in it for HER! As always yourself “what’s in it for her?” One of my coaching clients says, “you have to spoil them!” That makes sense to me. How do you spoil them?
- Send them a gift box when they sign on.
- Ask them about their favorites, like candy, drinks, colors and surprise them with fun happy mail.
- They receive hostess rewards when it’s their turn to be Hostess of the month.
- Offer free shipping once in a while.
- Offer extras if they refer a new customer, new hostess or team member.
- Be the first to hear about customer specials.
- Be the first to receive new catalogs and new product releases.
#2 Builds Strong Relationships! One client said, this works, so well for her because she’s building stronger relationships every month in her HOTM Club.
- She’s posting consistently in her group.
- She’s making sure she gives each member her best customer service.
- She reaches out not only via messages, but talks to them on the phone to make sure they are happy being in the club.
#3 Hit your sales goals every month! We all know to be successful in this business, you have to have monthly goals. When you are assured of one, two or more HOTM club parties, you know you’ll hit a specific sales number every month. This makes planning so much easier.
#4 Cash Flow every month! I make sure my clients understand the importance of running a business that gives you cash flow every month. When you organize and schedule HOTM club parties each month, you know the basic amount of sales you’ll bring in. However, many times the HOSTESS of the month reaches out to friends and may bring in $1000 sales that makes her hostess credits higher. When this happens of course, your sales figures increase and so does your commission income.
#5 Consistency in your business! Consistency is the number one struggle I hear from EVERY ONE of my clients.
