We are at a pivotal time of the year that we call the “Busy Season!” This is the time of the year when we usually do 80% more business than the rest of the year, if we’re ready!

Are you ready?  Are you ready for more business?  Higher sales?  More bookings?  Explosive team building?

Here are the reasons why you have to be ready for the “Busy Season.”    The first reason is kids are back to school.  This is a time when people’s routines are getting back to normal.  When people are back to a routine after a summer of no routines, they are ready to connect and are open to opportunities.

Secondly, people are gearing up for the gifting!  From October on, people are thinking about Halloween, Thanksgiving, and the holiday gift giving time.  This means they are ready to buy and get organized with their plans in the next four months around these busy holidays.

Thirdly, it’s the upcoming season of social events with family friends and colleagues.  Yes, COVID is here and we will all be respectful, but people are  ready to make new friends, meet new customers and hostesses.  This year we have the opportunity to do this online and offline.

So, again, I ask you are you ready?  If you’re ready you will want to follow my 5 essential step strategy to kick off this busy season in 2021.   And read to the end about a special FREE download I have to help you even further.

Step #1  Have a goal.   Think about where you want to be in your business by December 31st.  Do you want to be at your next level in your comp plan?  Do you want to have sales every month that will pay for your kids’ education?  Do you want to have a team of 10 new team members?    I recommend you write down your goal on a 3×5 card or post it note and write this sentence..

“It is December 31, and I am so happy and grateful that I have …”

Brian Tracy says when you write down your goals as if they have occurred, it activates your subconscious mind.   Here is an example of my coaching client who sent me her goal card after the busy season.

  • PROMOTE TO Executive Director. ✅
  • Earn an all-expense paid vacation with hubby to Jamaica. ✅
  • Help two new leaders promote. ✅
  • Be two-thirds on my way to earning our next trip. ✅

She was so excited because she had accomplished everything on her goal card.

Step #2  Purchase your new product kits.   Make sure you have all the NEW PRODUCTS on hand.  If that means you must purchase a NEW Product kit, don’t hesitate!  New Product kits are designed to help you grow your business. They not only come with new products, they include new catalogues, flyers, handouts, information for you to share with customers and hostesses.  Some people hold back ordering new products because they say they can’t afford it, but remember this important statement.

If you don’t have products to show and share, you don’t have a business!

Your product kit is your store front and you want to showcase ALL the fantastic new products everywhere!   Showcase them at your parties online and offline.  Showcase them on social media.  Showcase them at networking groups and in private appointments.

Step #3  Book your 10 Hostess Campaign.  If you book 10 hostesses in the first 10 weeks of the busy season, the impact it will have on your business will double and triple your sales and more.  When you create a sense of urgency,  you will have hostesses clamoring to be one of your first 10.

Step #4  Be confident with your POWER Intro.   Sharing your POWER INTRO at your parties, or at networking events opens doors to new conversations and new conversations lead to business.  This takes practice, but be prepared so when you introduce yourself you make an impression.  My quick formula I share with my coaching clients to help them create their power intro is …

#1    Share why you joined your company.  Make it short, brief and powerful.

#2    Share why you love your business and talk about people, products and company.

#3    Share the difference your business has made in family and your life.

It’s these three things that will attract people to want to know more!  So, get comfortable with your power intro until you feel confident to wow and attract new business.

Step #5  Focus on follow up and follow through.  Follow up and follow through is the biggest struggle for direct sellers.  I like to think of follow up and follow through with the 3 C’s

  • Communication – have systems in place to reach out to customers, hostesses and prospects and team members.
  • Consistency – be one with your planner and schedule everything. I teach my coaching clients a consistent weekly method that helps them stay on top of their follow up and follow through.
  • Connection is what brings in new business. When you connect with people on the same vibration you are engaged in conversation.   To get proficient at connections you want to be curious, ask questions, and be interested in people.  When you get good at connecting you attract people who want to do business with you.

When you have systems in place to follow up and follow through in this busy season, you will have delighted customers, happy hostesses and excited new team members joining your team.
