We are into Week 4 of our 10-week savings challenge. Have you SAVED $400 to date? We are nearly at the half way point.
In last week’s post, I shared a VALUABLE SECRET to keeping your party sales high using a “Holiday Gift Giving Wish List.” If you follow the instructions and use this tool at every party over the next 10 weeks, I know you’ll see a difference.
Today’s post is another “valuable” secret that helps you increase your sales at your parties. And remember the goal is to have $500 or more in sales each week so you can SAVE an extra $100, so at the end of 10 weeks you have a nice little cash bonus of $1000 to help you pay for your own fabulous holiday season.
One of the best ways to strategize having higher sales at every party is learning the skills of the check-out section. Check-out is the place where everything comes together! You’ve built a solid relationship with your hostess, you’ve “wow’d” your guests with a “killer” demonstration and now they are anxious to check out with you and seal the deal.
Mastering this skill of becoming an expert at checkout is like being a master closer. It’s where you
- Close the sale
- Get the next bookings
- Take the order
- Deepen your relationship with the guest
- Determine if she’s a prospect for your biz
It takes time to master a skill and that’s why I’ve broken this down into six easy steps. Make sure your check-out area reflects the way you do business. Have your order forms set up with your calculator and pen. Have your calendar open to your next available dates using the “calendar confidence” system from the Direct Sales Planner. Have Hostess and Recruiting packets ready to hand out, and begin to build relationship with each guest helping them determine what products they want. Then follow these six steps.
Step #1 Give a personal compliment as soon as she sits down. This builds great rapport and puts the guest at ease.
Step #2 Review her wish list and compliment her on her selections. This builds the conversation to finding the products she wants to purchase.
Step #3 Build the sale. Write the order, then suggest a “goes with” product. Many times a guest is thankful for the suggestion and will purchase the extra product.
Step #4 Ask “everyone” for a booking. It’s important you ask “everyone.” Especially if you’ve followed the Planting seeds formula in the Direct sales Planner. You’re prepared to handle concerns if someone says, maybe or even no.
Step #5 Simply ask for payment. “How would you like to pay for your purchase today, Suzie?”
Step #6 Thank guest for the order. Share your recruiting packet if you discovered this person is interested in your business opportunity.
Mastering these six steps at check-out will put you in control of having high sales, getting those two important future bookings and discovering if someone is a prospect for your business.
