One of the biggest things that affects your business and your income is your level of self-confidence. If you don’t have confidence in what you do in your direct sales business, you find yourself feeling not good enough, or holding back on achieving your goals, and where you truly want to grow.

Everyone experiences a level of confidence they hit that stops them from having the success they want. Why is that?

It’s because confidence affects everything you do in your Direct Sales business. It affects those activities you do in your business every day. It affects how many customers you have, how many parties you book and how many people you talk to about joining your team.

Your confidence level affects every level of your business every day.

Most of all it affects the “growth” of your business. This is where you have to make a decision to step up and step out of that comfort zone to grow new customers, more bookings and new team members that you want.  I’m talking about little things, like follow-up:

  • How many of you don’t follow up with customers in a timely manner, and follow-up-20-calls-weekly-worksheetthen think it’s too late? What would it take to pick up the phone 3 weeks, 3 months later and check in with a customer to see how they are loving their product? It’s never too late to follow-up.
  • How many people said to you, “I’d like to book a party sometime, but just not now?” And you forget about that person and never follow-up. All it takes is keeping a “maybe later” list in your planner so you finally follow-up and book that party.
  • How many prospects have you had a wonderful coffee chat conversation with but joining your business now was not the right time for them? If you have a strong pipeline of prospects to follow up each week, (again in your Direct Sales Planner) eventually this person will join.

All of these actions are simple follow-up habits. Your habits are the things you do day in and day out that get you the results you want in business. It’s your confidence level that pulls you down. I know you understand this because all of us experience this in our business at one time or another.

Each time someone turns you down on booking a party, or a person looks at you strange when you share you’re in a direct sales company, your level of confidence wanes.   I know because I have experienced this as a leader in the field and even as a successful business coach today.

Let me share with you TWO tools I use to bring my level of confidence back to a natural state every time. These are two very powerful tools that work and I share them with my coaching clients often.

#1 Confidence tool – Affirmations. Positive thinking and words of affirmation are a powerful tool. affirmation-gratitudeThey can turn failure around and take your confidence to a whole new level. This is about that
self-talk and inner dialogue we experience every day that stops us from taking action.   Using short positive statements and repeating them out loud every day helps wash away those negative feelings and builds our confidence level back to normal.

I work with affirmations every day with myself, my coaching clients and in my CG ACADEMY membership program. In this program, you get a “What’s Important Now” monthly guide worksheet with a new affirmation every month.

It’s important to read your affirmations every day! Write them on sticky notes and place them in areas you spend time like your bathroom mirror, or a white board in your office, or right on top of your computer.   By choosing to say positive affirmations as true, your subconscious is forced to stay positive and your level of confidence begins to rise back to that natural state.

#2 Confidence tool – W.I.T.A. All of us can make the BEST excuses NOT to make a phone call or find a way to fill a booking on the calendar. EACH of us wita latestcan talk ourselves into slowing down, or not taking the action we want because we are affected by those little voices in our head. One of my favorite quotes is

The business of direct sales is very simple. We SIMPLY sell, book and recruit! When you make the effort to hit a sales goal, and get a calendar full of bookings and share your business opportunity every week, you make it a PRIORITY!
