What I love about the third month of the year is the opportunity to look at your business still having New Year eyes.

What does that mean? Well, you’re still pouring into your first quarter goals and it’s this third month when you are pumped to go the extra mile to achieve your goal or things you wanted to accomplish in the first 3 months of a NEW YEAR!  So, you still have those New Year goals in mind.

I love campaigns and campaigns are simply planning an organized course of action to achieve a specific goal.   I have many campaigns in my coaching cache that help my clients focus on making shifts in their business. Campaigns like

  • Catalogue campaigns.
  • New Hostess campaigns.
  • Money management campaigns.
  • Team booking campaigns.

It was my simple three step recruiting campaign that led to a shift in having explosive growth in my million-dollar team hit the #1 position in the country .   Here are the deets…

Step #1 I taught them how to See the People. When team members aren’t recruiting, it’s because they don’t know how to identify a prime prospect. This is a major part of recruiting today. It seems like people get bombarded on social media with lots of “join my team.” Some consultants are taught to ask “everyone” at the party, and I think this makes you appear pushy and insincere. When you take time to get to know people and build rapport, you build a relationship. So, it’s important to know how to build friendships first! When you build friendships and learn the skills of identifying “who” is a prospect, you “see the people” who have a reason to join. To “see the people” I taught my team how to create their “ideal recruit.” Then they were very clear on recognizing how to “see” the people who were interested in the business opportunity.

STEP #2   I Offered consistent Opportunity meetings. I made available specific opportunity events for the team to invite prospects to hear more about the business opportunity.  In my coaching programs we call these meetings “Take a look” opportunity events. (I help leaders get very confident in learning how to hold “Take a Look” opportunity events in an easy seven step system.) The key to success in recruiting business builders is to have a place to bring prospects to learn about the benefits of owning a home based direct sales business. It’s was offering these events consistently every week that brought in these interested people to make decisions whether to join.

Step #3 I introduced 3-way calls. A 3-way conversation is when a team member schedules a time with you and her prospect.This was on the job training and I closed a lot of prospects helping team members with this technique.

Like every campaign you must lead with passion, encouragement and support, and I was organized with welcoming those new recruits through the door with a solid new recruit success system.

And, the ripple effect of this campaign?   My team grew at a rapid pace, but also we were recruiting biz builders or people who were truly interested in belonging to a team who were dedicated to making money in their business.
