Planning 2020 with purpose is taking “tiny steps to achieve big goals” and today I’m sharing three tiny steps to help you plan 2020 with purpose!
Planning 2020 with purpose is setting positive expectations for your year ahead. Being positive is a specific and conscious decision. Once you’ve made that decision with practice it becomes a habit, and that’s when optimism becomes second nature because when you do things repeatedly on a conscious level, it gets embedded in your subconscious mind.
Keeping positive expectations in your subconscious mind when planning 2020 with purpose will help you achieve your goals.
This is a 3-part series in planning 2020 with purpose.
- Today. you’ll learn how to “prepare” to plan with purpose.
- In the second blog post, I’ll show you how to set goals and plan with purpose.
- In the third post, we’ll focus on how to create a follow-through plan with purpose.
Let’s begin to PREPARE with three Questions or tiny steps to plan 2020 with purpose. (I suggest you get a pad and paper and write down the answers to these questions.)
Question #1 What were your big accomplishments in your business in 2019? Forget about the “I should have” or “I would have.” Think what you DID accomplish that helped you increase your business.
- Maybe you expanded your customer base?
- Perhaps you moved up a new level In leadership?
- Did you have many successful high selling parties?
- Or, maybe you recruited your first person, or promoted your first leader?
- You just feel more confident in your business?
Write it down…
When I asked my coaching clients this question, they said..
- I created my first system and it worked!
- I started time blocking and now have time to get my calendar full of bookings.
- I realized I had to schedule recruiting appointments in my 2020 Direct Sales Planner and now I’m recruiting consistently every month.
There is so much power when you write down your accomplishments. It’s like a victory list! It’s a visual of all the things you’ve done that you’re proud of.
Question #2 – What was the greatest lesson learned in your business in 2019? Knowing the answer to this question can have the biggest impact on planning with purpose in 2020. We learn lessons from accomplishments, and we learn lessons from mistakes. Learn my lesson about ‘NEVER ASSUME’ in this week’s video on you tube.
Think of one or more lessons you learned in 2019 so you will purposefully take steps to move through the steps you learned and conquer any fears or doubts. This is truly planning with purpose.
Questions #3 What area in your business do you want to IMPROVE the most in 2020? Think of our Direct Sales Business model where we BOOK – SELL – RECRUIT! Let’s break down those 3 areas.
- Bookings. How would you improve having consistent bookings? You know it’s the foundation of success in growing a direct sales business. Do you need a tool like my 2020 Direct Sales Planner to be more organized and learn the calendar confidence system to have more consistent bookings?
- To improve your selling, what’s missing? Do you need to increase your social media marketing to add new customers to sell to? What about party sales and re-orders sales? What needs improving?
- Think about the 3 simple steps to being a top recruiter. Attract – Share – Fast Start! Are you attracting your ideal recruit? In the Journey to Leadership coaching program, we get very clear with your Ideal recruit in our second module. What about sharing your opportunity? You’ll learn a 6-step conversation that brings you results to close new recruits, and a special 90-day On-boarding system to fast start your Biz Builders.
Review these THREE AREAS of your business and get very clear with what you want to improve. Set your priorities so you start improving one by one in 2020 – plan with purpose.
Once you’ve answered these three questions,
Close your eyes – take a deep breath – 2019 has come and gone!
Give thanks and release – all that is old – you’re ready to plan a new and exciting year..
You’re ready to you’re prepared to plan with purpose in 2020!
