I’ve been an entrepreneur working from home for over 20 years, and after two decades, I began searching for ways to rediscover connections with other entrepreneurs who work from home. It was during a coaching call with Lindsay Johnson, The Radical Connector, that everything started to shift. Lindsay asked the right questions, leading me to explore fresh possibilities in this stage of my career.
This is the undeniable value of having a coach, no matter how long you’ve been in business. A coach helps you find focus. As I often tell my own coaching clients, there are no accidents. When you hear the right words in a session, feel that surge of excitement, and feel compelled to take action, you know you’re on the right path to success.
And so, the
YouTube series, Entrepreneurs Working from Home,
was born!

Lindsay’s Daily Routine. Lindsay likes to ease into the day and starts each morning with a cup of hot cocoa (very French, if you ask me) and slowly checks in with emails, reads, or watches a video. By 10 a.m., they are ready to tackle tasks for the day. An expert user of Calendly, a scheduling app and refers to as “best friend” and is the “power cell” that drives business.
Workspace Setup. Although Lindsay has a beautifully organized office space with double monitors, comfort is key with multiple stations around home, each designed for different tasks, allowing flexibility and ease.
Body Doubling & Co-working. As the Radical Connector, Lindsay is a networking queen. Attending both live and online events, Lindsay believes making connections with people is the number one revenue-generating activity. Lindsay also talks about body doubling, a method where you meet up with someone virtually or in person to work alongside each other, holding each other accountable.

Productivity Hacks. Lindsay discusses the challenge of having too much freedom as an entrepreneur. When you transition from a traditional job where a boss directs you, becoming your own boss can be a big shift. Lindsay highlights the importance of building up your “discipline muscle” and focusing on getting things done.
I love Lindsay’s advice? “If you want to be more productive, whittle down your to-do list.”
