One of the strategies I work with my coaching clients is recognizing rising stars on their team. Rising stars are team members who want “more” in their business. They have that drive to succeed and most of all they get the BIG PICTURE of direct sales.
I was one of those people myself! I came home from my first conference and realized the BIG PICTURE!
- I saw women earning six figure incomes.
- I saw women just like “me” earning six figure incomes.
- They were teaching workshops.
- They were sharing their knowledge.
- They were positive influencers.
- That was when I made the decision to PROMOTE UP IN leadership myself.
You don’t have to have a whole team of people who want to rise up.
If you can find THREE who want to succeed in their business, that’s all it takes.
How do you recognize these rising stars? There are certain actions to take. OBSERVE the 20% of your team who are active and working their business. It’s important that once you identify those next THREE who want to move up to leadership, you have a strategy in place to support them in hitting their targets. You must
- Support them with specific goals
- Recognize their achievements often.
- Support them with lots of encouragement.
- Show them the way.
What does that strategy look like?
Here’s just 1 example … Helping them be consistent in holding SIX PARTIES every month. Once they master holding six parties every month, their sales will be high, they will get future bookings and they will be in front of over 50 people every month to find their new team members. The relationships they build with hostesses and the confidence they gain holding those six parties leads them ONE STEP closer to rising up to leadership.
