On my Monday Minute Team Building tip this week a leader shared with me she has a team member who wants to start over and re-launch her business, but can’t seem to get going.  She said they talk about it all the time, but it’s not happening and she’s not sure how else to help her.

That’s the beauty of Direct Sales, you can always start over or do a refresh with a launch party! And that was my suggestion to this leader.

In fact, if you wanted you could hold a launch party or one party at your home every week, or every month it’s a great way to build your client base!

A launch party is usually inviting friends you know and have them bring friends they know to kick off your business.   So a re-launch party is simply kicking off your business again!    However, it takes a little work to make it happen.

TIPS TO HOLD A SUCCESSFUL RE-LAUNCH PARTY

Here are my BEST tips for holding a launch party whether it’s your first one or you’re refreshing your business with a RE-LAUNCH it’s basically the same!

  • I always suggest you schedule TWO launch parties. One on a week night and one on a weekend day! Two launch parties give the guests an option to choose one date.   It helps you hit a sales goal of $500 or more because you usually get 3 or more confirmed people to each event.
  • Next, think about WHO to invite. Make a list of 50 or more people you  know who would love your product line.  You can use the F.R.A.N.K. acronym.  These are Friends, Relative, Acquaintances, Neighbors, and Kid contacts.   As you make your list, think of people in your sphere of influence who love your type of products.  Your goal is to come up with a list of qualified people you feel comfortable approaching to invite them to your re-launch party.
  • Next review ‘how” you’ll invite your guests to your re-launch.
    • Maybe you’ll send out “evites.” I find this very effective if you’re organized and send them out in a timely manner.
    • Maybe you’ll use social media and create an event on Facebook. This is a great way to invite if all the people you are inviting are indeed on Facebook.
    • Maybe you’ll use personal invite cards in the snail mail. Perhaps you want to invite people who would respond from your personal touch of an invite card. Think about how you want to invite people and what way you think you’ll get the best response.
    • Even in today’s world of social media and online marketing, I believe one of the best way to get confirmed attendance to have a successful launch party is to make a “personal phone call” to people on your list. So, maybe you send an email invite, and follow up with a personal phone call. This will not only help you have confirmed guests, it will also help you have higher attendance.  The reason a personal phone call is much more effective is because they hear the excitement in your voice about what you’ll share at the party.  Like how much fun it will be getting together with friends. Also how they’ll learn how to use your products in a most innovative way. When you share the details of the event, you’re sharing your enthusiasm. This enthusiasm, spills over and it excites friends to want to attend.

YOU MIGHT WANT TO FOLLOW A SCRIPT

Here’s an example of a script: “Hi Suzie, do you have a quick minute? I’m calling about a fun re-launch party I’m holding with my (Company name) business.   You have indicated some interest in learning more about our wonderful products in the past, and I thought of you!  I really value your opinion and would love you to try the products and see what you think!  I have scheduled two re-launch parties where we will (describe what you will do at the party.)  We are going to have lots of fun!  You’ll also have the opportunity to hear how you can earn some products for FREE as a hostess.

My two dates are Thurs @ 7pm am or Sat @  2 pm, which one would work best for you?   Great! Bring a friend or two, I have gifts for everyone.”

  • Role model it with your leader a few times so you get comfortable in making calls. As you make the calls, check off the people who agree to attend and send a reminder the night before each launch party!
  • Make sure you hostess coach yourself and follow up with guests before the party to insure they will be attending!

AT YOUR RE-LAUNCH PARTY

  • At the launch party follow your company party guidelines to the TEE!
  • Get familiar with becoming an expert at check-out to make sure you get the sale, get a future booking and identify any recruit leads.
  • Make sure you’re planting good booking and recruiting seeds.
  • Build strong relationships and friendships with your guests and offer each one of them the opportunity to book their own party on your calendar.

The whole point of a RE-LAUNCH party is to increase your customer base and get people interested in learning more about your products!   You could also hold a re-launch party online.   You would just follow these same steps. However, I believe holding an IN -HOME relaunch party where you greet the guests in person in your own home develops a stronger business!

Think about your own personal business right now!   Do you think your need a RE-LAUNCH Party scheduled on your books?
