I hear it many times, “If everyone had done just a little bit more, we would have qualified as a team, this month.”
To qualify as a team each month with EASE, it is a TEAM EFFORT! The leader contributes her requirements and the team members contribute their requirements.
Sometimes a team misses the mark because of ONE more active person, or ONE more active order. The whole team misses the qualification by not enough people implementing or taking action.
How do you discipline yourself to implement?
Well, first you have to remember in Direct Sales you’re an entrepreneur! Entrepreneur is a French word, and the derivation “Entre pre,” simply means that you launch something or you begin things. Entrepreneurs are starters.
So, understand that when you START things it’s important to FINISH things. You don’t get results from things you don’t finish. It’s by finishing things you start, knowing that you have to finish more things, that helps you implement.
Quite simply, if you started a direct sales business, you must know to be “active” you must hold a party, or have a personal appointment, or make a sale to place an order every month. If you started your direct sales business thinking that you didn’t have to do “anything,” or were told by someone that you didn’t have to do “anything,” then you could be holding back the whole team because you’re not implementing.
Be a Team Player
• In direct sales when you’re a team player you implement consistently and achieve high success.
• Team players implement and are “active” every month.
• Maybe you’re not a high achiever, maybe you enjoy the product and sell to friends and family. One order a month is implementing and contributing to the team.
• When you work with a group and part of a team, you’re surrounded with other “active” and high achieving people who implement.
• Team players help each other by holding each other accountable. When you’re accountable to other high achievers, you implement consistently.
• Team players get together at meetings and trainings with other entrepreneurs and work together to implement and see results.
Bottom line, as a team player you are making money! After all, you started your direct sales business to make money. When you start something you must finish it by implementing consistently to see any kind of results.
I coach leaders to work with team players who consistently implement and contribute every month. No matter how small the contribution, maybe a $25 order can make the difference in a leader and her team meeting the requirements to stay qualified as a team.
When a team qualifies every month with EASE, the team players are happy, they’re motivated and they’re making money!
Implement and be a team player.
Why not focus on implementing and work on money generating activities in your direct sales business this month? That’s when you will not only be a great team player, but you’ll personally begin to multiply your own income dramatically.
It makes the acronym T.E.A.M. more meaningful than ever. Together Everyone Achieves Miracles!
