It’s the beginning of 2020 and a perfect time to re-start your business. Maybe you’ve been stalled for a while, or perhaps you’re even STUCK, but the great news is you can always re-start if you’re willing. That’s the key – you have to be willing. You have to WANT to re-start. Many people say, I want to re-start, refresh, re-jump my business, but that’s all they do! They SAY they want it, but they don’t take that next step and act on it.
So, if you’re ready to take action to re-start your business then, here are my 10 STEPS to holding a successful re-start launch party. These 10 steps are like gold because you can use them not only for your re-start, but every time you hold a party.
- Schedule TWO RE-START parties & make a list of invitees! This is important! I suggest you schedule two dates. One in the evening during the week, and one on the weekend! The reason this is so powerful is when you’re inviting people to attend you give them two choices. You say, “My two re-launch parties are Wednesday evening at 7pm or Saturday at 2pm, which of those would work best for you?” You’re asking them to make a decision, and many times they choose one. It also helps you hit a sales goal of at least $500 because you usually get two or three people to each event.
- Create your list and get confirmations for your RE-START launch. Your list should be easier than when you first started. You have had past customers, past hostesses, people who love your products. You can still use the F.R.A.N.K. acronym. Friends, relatives, acquaintances, neighbors and kid contacts. These people will more than likely have sampled your products before. Your goal is to come up with a list of qualified people you feel comfortable approaching to invite them to your re-start party.
Send your “evites” via email or use social media to create an event. Or perhaps a personal invitation in the mail. Think about the best way you’ll get the best response. Even in today’s world of social media, I believe the best way to get confirmed attendance is to make a personal approach via phone call or text. You may want to follow a script and role model it with your leader a few time to get confident.
A key point is to follow-up with guests the day before your events, to get confirmed attendance.
- Prepare your home for your RE-START. Make sure you’re prepared for your guests to arrive at your RE-START home party. Set up your product display, the area where you’ll demonstrate and, of course, a special check-out area. Get your guests involved and active as soon as they walk through the door. This is the beginning of a great new start for you and you want to impress your guests.
- Power Intro for your RE-START. Share a story why you’re excited to re-start your business. Give them great reasons why you love your products, your company and your intentions to grow your business. People love a good story, and they will love to hear why you are ready to re-start. Make sure you mention the Hostess program and let them know you’ll be asking them to book a future show with you. You also want to hand out a wish-list or favorites-list for everyone to follow along and mark which products they like best.
- Demonstration tips for RE-START. This is your re-start so you want to make sure everyone is having FUN as you share your product demonstration. Bone-up on the product benefits and solutions and share key points that they haven’t heard before. When you offer a “killer” demonstration, people are excited to buy and book future parties.
- Plant booking and recruiting seeds for RE-START. You’ve had a little practice at this if you’re doing a re-start, so be intentional about planting seeds. This is so important. If you’re not comfortable, check with your upline or leader and find a way to plant these seeds so you begin your re-start with two bookings and a possible new recruit.
- Building relationships at your RE-START. Parties are all about relationship building. If your business had a rough beginning before, know that the more you chat with your guests, build friendships and get to know them, the more successful your re-start will be.
- Transition time at your RE-START. This is that awkward time when you’ve finished your demonstration and you’re ready to take orders. So, prepare for this transition. When you are prepared and give the guests an activity to do, it will be simple to start taking the first order.
- Checkout at your RE-START. Now, this is the place where you get the sale, get your next bookings and find that guest who’s interested in learning more about your opportunity. Pay attention to her wish list, build the relationship and give her your full attention. Make sure you have your DIRECT SALES PLANNER open with your next two available booking dates. Show your guests that you are serious about re-starting your business. When guests see you marking their names in your calendar on a specific date as a hostess, they will know you are committed to growing and re-starting your business.
- Follow up after your RE-START launch party. This is the place where many people fall down. They simply don’t follow up with anyone after the party. The first place to begin is right after the party, and send a postcard or note (or even a text) and thank them for attending. That simple follow-up goes a long way. Then follow-up again after they’ve received their order, just to check-in to see if they are liking the products. These two follow-up connections will begin a beautiful relationship for future business.
