Have you ever wondered why some leaders are always positive and so successful? The leaders in my Group Coaching program are these people. They are all busy moms and yet they are dedicated to growing their business. In fact, they are totally committed to growing their direct sales business.
I work with these women who are spread across three countries. Each of them rarely miss a group coaching call. On each call they share what’s working for them. They are focused and committed because they have created habits that get them results, and these habits are what I call “best business practices.” Best business practices are a set of guidelines or habits you develop that serve you every day in your business. There are three universal best business practices I teach my clients that make a difference in their lives. It’s the same three habits I used to grow my million dollar team and I use today in my coaching business
#1 Best Business Practice The number one best business practice all successful direct sellers do is they involve themselves in professional development, even if it’s 30 minutes a day. When I tell people I get up at 4 am every morning they roll their eyes. I love this time of the morning because it is my own “quiet” time and the first 30 minutes I spend reading an inspirational or professional development book. This one small business practice has helped me be more organized, become a better trainer and coach and most of all had a huge impact on sharing and helping others
#2 Best Business Practice After my 30 minute reading, I plan my day. All successful direct sellers work from a planner. Working from a planner first thing every morning, helps you know your priorities for the week. A planner has your weekly and monthly goals, your important to-do list and most of all your follow-up plan ALL IN ONE PLACE. Working from a planner allows you to see at-a-glance your monthly focus. It helps you keep a healthy balance between life and business. My customized DIRECT SALES PLANNER helps consultants and leaders organize their bookings and more. It helps them feel organized and in control in their business every day.
#3 Best Business Practice After reading, and planning, I’m ready to hit the trail and fit in my exercise for the day. I love to walk. My daily exercise fuels my body and my mind. Now, you may be thinking how does “exercise” fit into a best business practice. And the simple answer is “discipline.” Disciplining yourself to exercise every day or a number a times a week is the practice of training your mind to take care of your body and this practice is the way we master skills in all aspects of your direct sales business.
I’m not asking you to get up at 4:00am every morning, but think about what would happen if you put effort into these three habits every morning. What difference would it make in your business? Why the morning? Well, for me, it’s making sure I do these three things FIRST every day. It really doesn’t matter if you do them early in the morning the key is to implement these three best business practices into your busy life and watch your business explode!
#1 Best Business Practice – Involve yourself in professional development
#2 Best Business Practice – Work from your planner every day
#3 Best Business Practice – Discipline yourself to exercise daily or weekly

Kelli Bono, Executive Director, Lemongrass Spa: When I started working with Gale I had a team of 20. I barely knew how to turn on a computer much less handle a team of 20 or how to effectively communicate with them! I knew that if I wanted to grow and retain a large team I needed support or I would lose girls as fast as I brought them on! Gale helped me get systems in place to build an extremely large team and now I’m at the top of my comp-plan! I can say with absolute confidence that Gale is my secret weapon. My income has grown 800% and my children have a mom that doesn’t take away from our life or quality time. My success didn’t happen over night, like anything in life it takes time to build! To build a house, have a baby, to build a large organization! Over time, Gale will get you where you want to go! My company is now adopting Gale’s systems to use as part of their growth plan.

Thanks so much for your ideas.
I’m just starting to practice some of these, and I too find myself up and awake very early (5:30) each morning so that I have time to catch up on the world, make a plan, exercise and then be off to work. It’s a challenge some days to get up so early (especially in the cold, dark of winter) but it is worth it to put a positive spin on my day.

Welcome Rose! It looks like you’re achieving your goals. I actually walk 4 miles 4 times a week and go to Pilates on the 5th day. we find a way to fit it in. Thanks for sharing. I have visited your beautiful country many times and know how dark it is at that time. Best to you and success in your business.
Great advice! Thanks so much for all the great ideas.
