Last week, I met with three entrepreneurs individually for a coffee chat. When I was growing my million dollar team I LOVED setting up coffee chats at least twice a week to share my business opportunity. Now that I’m in the coaching business most of my coffee chats are mentoring women who are looking for opportunity.
After meeting with these wonderful women this week, I noticed something amazing.
- Each of them were tired of what they were doing now.
- Each of them were looking for something more fulfilling in life.
- Each of them wanted to make a 5 and 6 figure income fast!
- Each of them were unsure of their own potential.
- Each of them were looking for support in a new venture.
- Each of them wanted a product they could be passionate about.
- Each of them wanted to make a difference in helping others.
- Each of them wanted to be their own boss and work for themselves.
- Each of them were looking for something fun
- Each of them were looking to grow themselves personally.
These were women of integrity, women who were genuinely looking for something to fulfill their purpose and make a good income.
Now, how did I find out ALL of the above in one coffee chat? It’s because I have mastered the skill of interviewing. As a top recruiter, I focused completely on building relationships by having coffee chats with prospects every week.
In the course of sharing my business opportunity, I learned the first step is to build the relationship first. There were many people I met for coffee who I realized were not a prime prospect for my business, but they were a prime referral prospect because I built a strong relationship, I kept in touch and when they met someone who might be an ideal candidate for my business opportunity, they knew immediately.
I guess my advice to you this week in this blog post is to “master your interview skills.” Get really good at building relationships and share your business opportunity.
To succeed as a top recruiter, it’s important to be positive and adopt an attitude of mastering skills of sharing your business opportunity. Think about it. When was the last time you sat down face to face and built a relationship and shared your business opportunity with a prospect? Was it yesterday, was it last week, was it 2 months ago?
I don’t mean that you “mentioned” your business opportunity at a party. Or, you suggested to someone at a networking event to go to your website and read about your opportunity. If you want to master these skills, you must schedule your calendar and meet with prospects in person, face to face, at least 2 times a week! Then adopt that positive mindset and fill those time slots every week. This is the dedication you need to be a top recruiter and grow your team.
